Fiskaly Integration for jewellers

Fiscal registration without the fuss.

A modern POS system should not only be easy to use. In many European countries, specific rules also apply to the registration, security and retention of till transactions. With PrismaNote’s Fiskaly integration, fiscal processing of POS transactions is handled automatically.

That helps you meet the relevant fiscal requirements, without your staff having to deal with complicated fiscal processes during checkout. PrismaNote and Fiskaly work together in the background — so you can focus on the sale.

No extra actions. No separate fiscal hardware. No complicated processes.

Why fiscal registration matters

Rules around POS systems are becoming more extensive across Europe.

Authorities want to be able to verify that turnover and tax are recorded correctly and in an auditable way. That is why countries set requirements for matters such as:

  • how transactions are registered
  • the security of POS data
  • preventing manipulation of transactions
  • the availability of data for a tax audit
  • how POS data is exported and submitted

Those rules differ by country and change regularly. For a jeweller, keeping track of every update is not the core of the business. You mainly want your POS system for jewellers to support the right fiscal processes.

What is Fiskaly?

A European platform for fiscal compliance.

Fiskaly is a European technology platform for fiscal compliance and electronic transaction processing. It offers solutions that help POS systems comply with fiscal rules in several European countries — including Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Portugal, with country-specific products.

PrismaNote uses Fiskaly to integrate fiscal functionality directly into the POS system. As a jeweller, you do not have to manage a separate fiscal system alongside PrismaNote.

Fiskaly and Germany’s KassenSichV

For German jewellers, the fiscal requirements around POS systems are especially relevant. Germany’s KassenSichV sets requirements for electronic POS systems and the way transactions are secured and registered. An important part of this is the Technische Sicherheitseinrichtung (TSE). Fiskaly provides a cloud-based TSE solution which, according to Fiskaly, is fully certified for German regulations.

What is a TSE?

TSE stands for Technische Sicherheitseinrichtung: a technical security system used in Germany to secure POS transactions. The TSE records and secures relevant transaction data and makes later inspection possible. Instead of installing a physical solution in your shop, Fiskaly can provide this as a cloud solution — with no extra fiscal hardware next to your POS system. According to Fiskaly, the Fiskaly Cloud TSS is certified and the current certification runs until 2033.

DSFinV-K: data available for inspection

In addition to securing individual transactions, the availability of POS data also plays an important role. In Germany, DSFinV-K is the standardised structure for exporting data from electronic POS systems; that data may be requested during a tax audit. Fiskaly offers a separate DSFinV-K solution that can export POS data in the required format.

What happens during a sale?

Your staff barely need to notice the fiscal processing.

1

The sale is registered

The transaction is processed in PrismaNote.

2

Fiscal data is processed

PrismaNote passes the required data to Fiskaly.

3

The transaction is secured

Fiskaly processes the transaction according to the applicable fiscal requirements.

4

The data remains auditable

Fiscal data is recorded in a way that supports inspection and, where applicable, export.

5

Staff continue

For your team, the normal checkout workflow changes as little as possible.

No separate fiscal solution

Fiskaly becomes part of your existing checkout workflow.

Without an integrated fiscal solution, a POS system and a fiscal system end up sitting side by side. That creates extra technology, maintenance and possible manual steps. With the PrismaNote integration, fiscal processing happens as much as possible in the background, just like your jewellery sales statistics that are generated automatically from your POS.

You do not need to:

  • manually copy transactions
  • use a second system for every sale
  • manage separate fiscal hardware
  • register every transaction fiscally yourself
Cloud-based and ready for changing rules

PrismaNote focuses on software for jewellers. Fiskaly on fiscal compliance.

That split makes it possible to combine both specialisms — with a simpler technical environment and less hardware to maintain in the shop.

Cloud-based

Fiscal infrastructure can be set up in the cloud — online, centralised and accessible from different devices.

No extra hardware

For the German SIGN DE solution, Fiskaly offers a cloud TSE, so there is no separate fiscal hardware in the shop.

Ready for changing rules

Fiskaly focuses on fiscal compliance and, according to the company, follows regulatory changes with new products and updates.

Part of the POS

Fiskaly becomes part of the existing checkout workflow rather than a separate system next to it.

One less responsibility

You do not need to be an expert in TSEs, DSFinV-K or fiscal interfaces to rely on the process.
